Collection time changes during the Christmas season 🎄
Christmas is an incredibly busy time for our partner businesses, so there may be some changes to your regular collections. To help everything run smoothly:
- Some businesses have informed us of their changes during the holidays ahead of time. In these instances we’ve either updated the Volunteer Hub and/or shared a link below. ⬇️
- If the business you’re collecting from isn’t listed on this page, please speak to your Squad Captain or contact the site directly (if you are usually allowed to do so). 📞
- If food is confirmed at your site, please attend your collection as usual.

Collections from catered sites (offices, healthcare, defence)
Collections may be updated on the system, but please check in with your site the weeks prior to the Christmas season to confirm when the last collection will be needed before the Christmas closure.
Collections from an education site (school and universities):

Asda
You can collect as soon as you receive the confirmation message. This is typically sent around 2pm and includes the collection code you’ll need to show to a store colleague for them to release the food.
Please note that collection times are not affected by bank holiday trading hours.
All Asda stores will be closed on Christmas Day (25 December). Please do not attend your collection, even if you receive a confirmation message.
Boots
Please collect 30mins before closing time as bank holiday trading hours are stated on the Boots Website.
Central England Co-op
Collections are 15 mins before store closing time.
Holland & Barrett
These collections are ad-hoc by store staff. Should not affect Festive Holiday hours.
Iceland
Collection times at Iceland are subject to change from 24th December to 2nd January. The updated times will be reflected automatically in the system.
Please ensure you check for changes to your collection time during this holiday period, and collect at the time indicated on Olio only.
Midcounties Co-Op
Please collect 30 mins before closing time as stated on the Midcounties Co-op Website.
Sainsbury’s
Please collect 15 mins before the closing time, your collection time will be updated to reflect the changes in store trading hours due to the bank holiday.
SSP
Any changes to your collections will be reflected directly on the system.
Tesco Ireland
