This might surprise you, but less than 10% of plastic waste produced globally is actually recycled. The rest ends up in landfill, is burned, or leaks into the environment – often after being used just once.

It’s a sobering number and one that’s easy to feel overwhelmed by.

But it’s also a reminder of why small actions matter. When people share, reuse, and keep things in circulation for longer, it reduces the need for new plastic in the first place.
