💛 The high-level summary of the webinar is as follows:
✔️ Driving demand as supply grows: With 225,000 FWH collection slots now coming onto Olio every month, we’re increasing our marketing spend and doubling down on students
✔️ AI will sort ‘Other’ issue reports from November: 30% of issue reports are categorised as ‘Other’, which creates significant manual work for our team to sort through. We’re therefore going to start using AI (which is already 80%+ accurate) to free our team up for complex cases. We’re also making the Issue Report Form easier to use
✔️ Clearer reporting and safer listings: FWH Squad Chat and Forum flag report options have been updated, and any listing with a confirmed food safety report is now automatically unlisted
✔️ Quicker answers for simple issues: Food Waste Heroes can now update their own address, and AI resolves 60% of login and sign-up issues
✔️ Cracking down on bad actors: AI is helping us ban 5x more bad actors, and 99% of penalties have been upheld. ID verification has been live since July and has blocked the ~1% of people who tried to use an ID that’s already on another account
✔️ Behind the scenes with Engineering: Our team ships 60+ pieces of work a week, including frequent app updates to keep up with Apple’s and Google’s requirements and the latest security fixes
✔️ £1.1bn of cumulative social value: Using survey responses from 3,000+ of you and a framework from MeasureUp we’ve quantified Olio’s positive impact on mental health, physical health and volunteering
