Firstly, a huge thank you to all of you who joined our eighth community webinar. Your engagement, questions and ongoing support mean the world to us 💛

Key highlights from the webinar:
🏠 New Home + Explore screens
We’ve redesigned how you navigate the app – helping new users understand Olio is more than just a “free food app”. And it’s working! New users are now 15% more likely to add a listing.
We’ve heard some concerns raised on the Forum too, and we’ll continue to make improvements based on your feedback.
💬 Messaging improvements
You told us messaging needed work and we listened. We’ve rolled out:
✅ A clearer way to spot unread messages
✅ Precise time stamps for better clarity
✅ An ‘unread’ filter to help you stay on top of things
⏳ Dynamic delays removed
We’ve officially said goodbye to dynamic delays. They were confusing, frustrating, and didn’t help distribute supply more fairly. Instead, we’re focusing on pick-up quotas to keep things simple and fair.
🛡️ New appeals process
We’ve launched a smoother way to appeal bans, suspensions and warnings, plus we’re harnessing AI to:
✅ Remove banned listings (like medicines, wanted food & pets)
✅ Handle straightforward flag reports – freeing up time for trickier ones
🤝 Volunteer Hub updates
Each week, around 20% of collection slots go unclaimed. So, we’ve introduced 3 changes to help:
✅ Simplified how slot limits work
✅ Added data on previous collection sizes so you can assess suitability
✅ New filters to help you find the best slots for you
We’ll be updating existing FAQs and adding new ones to cover the top questions from the webinar, so keep an eye out in the coming weeks.
And before you go, we’d LOVE your feedback on the webinar so we can continue to improve them in future. Please fill out the short 3 minute survey below if you’d like to share your thoughts.
Thanks again for your continued support, it means the world to us.
